Alpine Cva
Auto.Bypass switch for Alpine CVA 1005 and Alpine DVA 5200?
I was finally able to get the stereo/dvd player professionally installed.It does not play dvds.I tried different ones(all non burned).I put the dvd in and the menu comes up but all the buttons on the bottom are when I push them to play a dvd do nothing.I have the bypass switch installed as well.It just keeps saying invalid.Could that still be that switch?I dont know much about car audio as you can probably tell.Alpine says to take off the switch then it will work but only in park,which I knew.So if I keep it on is there a code or something that is supposed to be used that Im missing?Im so confused.HELP.THANK YOU
Btw to anyone that says that its dumb or dangerous to have the dvd player hooked up to watch while car is in drive.It is not for me,but for my kids I want this done.Thank you
no code involved take the switch out, ground the deck and the parking brake cable together to a bolt and it will work. whenever you want.
