Auto-backup in not working in internet at my company site?
Dear All,
In my Company We have two lease line.
one is primary Lease line and second is backup lease line.
Both are configure with default root with different different metric value with ISP’s Gateway.
When primary lease line is down .automatically back up lease line up.
but only ping is working but browsing is not working.
Configuration.
there is not a any ACL on Router.

So, when the primary link goes down, you can ping but cannot browse the web? In that case, what exactly are you pinging, and what are you pinging it from? Remember that a directly-connected route to a subnet will beat any other, so if you’re just pinging from your router that directly connects to the secondary default gateway then that doesn’t rule out a routing issue on your end at all (your dynamic routing can be completely broken but you can still ping from a direct-connect). If you can ping the ISP’s router from your PC within your network, then that would rule out a routing problem on your network.
What is the output of “show ip route”? I’m assuming by your wording that your edge router is a Cisco model with a fairly simple configuration.
